uh-oh...white smoke from the exhaust

I noticed some white smoke lately, on a 70 degree muggy night at first. And on the cold mornings it's much worse than anyone else. It doesn't happen all the time though but something clearly ain't right. Can anyone tell me what I should check first?

specs are 2003 5.4 Screw 2wd auto 105K

thanks in advance!

I've noticed the same issue with mine lately. Does yours emit smoke for a short while after the truck is off?

no, it doesn't do it after it's off, how long does it go on for with your truck?

That can be a false indication if your looking for a bad HG. Most people experience this under normal operation. If your worried it could be a HG, have a hydrocarbon test done on your coolant.
