but is it bad to remove it for short periods of time?

I think it would be fine to remove for offroad but once back on the street you would need to put it back. It doesn't hurt anything when you take it off, it just affects handling.

it will be fine to take off for offroading, as long as you arent doing any high speed turns or anything like that. but i wouldnt want it off when driving on the road.

Thats a sweet rig man! Im working on something similar with my International Scout 800. My truck is going to be used to tow it out. Mainly desert camping and that type of thing. Good luck.

I was hoping to get out this weekend for a little fun but the $$$ is tight and I think I'll wait until after I fab a new bumper and sliders, just need to find space and a welder someone will let me use

Hey man I love how your building your truck!! Just read through your build on the expedition portal. Good luck on finding a snorkel. If your in california in june you'll have to try to hit up pismo.
