I have a 97 F 150. Recently the keyless entry system stopped working. I can't lock or unlock the doors with the remote. Since everything was working fine I though dead batteries. I changed the batteries but still the remote wouldn't operate the system. The doors lock fine with a key and using the door rocker buttons. I also noticed the alarm system doesnt activiate when I lock the doors using the key or the rocker buttons (I don't see the red flashing light). Not only does the locking system doesn't work neither does the PANIC button. Is this a reciever problem?

I tried cycling the key from off to on 8 times, 10 times, 5 times while holding the LOCK button on the remote, not holding the LOCK button, ending the cycling on the ON position, in the OFF position, doors locked, doors unlocked, etc etc to no avail. The locks don't operate on their own like would be expected while doing the re-programm. Any suggestions?
