Yeah I'm not going there anymore. I put in for a place last week and told me to check back at the end of this week to see if I got it or not.

Got the pieces from Pat today, damn near a complete console for 30 bucks and some headlight housings (no spoilers). Looks like its going to take some finagling but should be able to make it work with little modifications, going to start on it tomorrow.

Yeah, was good to shoot the breeze for a few minutes and check out your truck. I just added to the one that you have running.

I got to admit I'm pretty stoked and Sunday can't get here fast enough, forget Christmas
Glad i could be of assistance

You've got all the pictures uploaded that I've needed lately, so you've helped quite a bit thanks.

Thanks boss. Man I'm starting to feel bad for chopping the hell out of this console when all it really needs is a skeleton(one for 25+shipping on ebay) and a lid. I'll do my best to get pictures as I go but I tend to get into the task and forget to click.

Alright made some decent progress to day, pics incoming.

Mocking it up before going to the store:

After a couple hours of chopping it up with a dremel:

Mocked up in the truck, tape to hold it tight at the bottom, looks like I'll need to frame the inside to keep it tight:

Need to make a back piece since the one that I got from Pat isn't going to work, angles and stuff. Got an idea for matching the storage area up with the rest of the shell. Not sure if I want to just eliminate the entire side pocket area or glass around the speaker box. Think I'm going to have to shave some of the cushion out of the arm rests, wide top console, so it will fit right, removing it makes it look ugly.

Questions, comments, suggestions welcomed.

looks good so far, Id probably recommend just glassing the back up once you get the sides mounted and structurally sound.

I love having the little pockets on the side of my console, and im sure youll probably want the extra storage space since you wont have much space inside the main body of the console.

If I can make the old storage box work then that should tighten up the sides and would make the storage area a little deeper. I'm not really losing any storage space, and I've been playing with the idea of cutting them out and making storage space under cup holders, I've hacked it up this much might as well go full blown custom. Hiding a head unit down there came to mind

I meant loosing storage space compared to the original black bucket

hide a CD changer, or hard drive
