I sure hope so. I am going to my bodyshop tomorrow to get an estimate and on Wednesday when my dad gets home from out of town we are going to see if it will be covered under my insurance.

It will probably cost you about $400 or so to get that fixed. They can remove the pin stripe and fix/repaint the silver part and reclear it under the body line. If they want to re-finish the whole bed id expect to see anywhere from 6-800 for it.

that would be like the best case scenario. This spring my dad's 02 had to get his box side repainted and it costed about 1000 and that was just with one nickel sized dent.

They did do a great job. And that is the cheapest bodyshop in town and the one we have always dealt with because they do excellent work. If it does go through insurance i am really hoping that they will repaint the whole bedside and door because it has so many deep scratches. :o

Looks repairable without full panel replacement. Good luck with the repairs and keep us posted.

That's going to be about 2 grand. Lots of labor time to iron that out.

Man im so ocd about my truck but if it came out to be that much ($2000) i'd have to just drive it like that.

When i first bought my 98, we got a pretty good deal on it bc it had a couple scrapes on the passanger side and the front headlight was shifted the slightest bit, never notice it if you weren't really looking tho. So there was that.

About a year.5 later, i was merging on the interstate behind a non police Crown Vic. (should have know it was 90year olds) anyway we are up to the same speed as traffic adn there is enough room for both of us to slide in and we are about at the end of the merge lane. (about 60mph) Anyway i turn to make sure i have plenty of room and they slam there brakes on, nose dive down. i didn't have time to hit the brake it wouldn't have mattered by the time i had turned around anyhow. Somehow i barely miss them, couldn't see the roof of there car, bc i just jerked the wheel and cut onto the highway, im fighting with it, i don't htink bodylift helped. I thought i was about to get it under control and then the **** hit the fan. tires are coming off the ground squealing. i lost it at htis point and smash the passanger side into guardrail cables in the center divide at 60. Drove it home, but had bent the control arm and all that. That was like 1200 i believe, luckily had just got a 2000 scholarship sucky way to spend it tho. ANYWAY the reason for this long story is i got the body damage estimate and for a new tail gate(bent corners), (stepsides are fiberglass) new fiberglass bed side which had to be painted truck was red most expensive color i think actually, dent in door, front side dented it in with trim around wheel, and front and rear bumpers. Fix all the previous body damage. It totaled for $4500 i believe. SO i can not imagine it would cost 2g's for that scrape. I just drove it like that but traded it bc of damage. Still cool lookin truck. talked to the guy who bought it with all that damage still and he said he paid 4700 haha I'm guessing on depending where you take it 4 to 7 hundred bucks. Maybe you can talk mom into paying for some(perferably ALL) since the truck was in her possession when it was damaged???

Best of luck to ya with it
