exhaust manifold leak

exhaust manifold leak

hey my manifold are leaking pretty bad they make an obnoxious ticking noise i was just wondering can this give me power loss or mpg loss it feels like mashed potatoes when i hit the gas and im getting poor mpg

YEs it can and will cause power loss...the O2 sensors are not working correctly because of it

I had the same problem, fix the leak and go ahead and replace your O2's

i had to fix my passenger side on my truck. wasn't to bad. i soaked the exhaust manifold studs and the bolts with pb blaster ( i think that is what it was called) and i heated up the head to help loosen things up and the bolts come off pretty easy. the stud that the nut broke off of came off with a pair of vice grips.

thats what i did. hope that helps
