Got hit yesterday morning.

Yep, it happened. I feel sick about it, but everyone is ok. An old lady came flying through an intersection and clipped the front bumper of my truck with her CR-V. I had my girl in the front seat with me and honestly that was the only thing that mattered to me, that she was ok. The damage is very minor to the truck luckily, however if I had been another foot out into the intersection she would have hit my fender broadside instead of just denting in and pushing back the front bumper. The entire driver's side of her vehicle was smashed and pushed in. I just can't believe how solid our trucks are.

I'll post pics up when I can. I had to limp the truck home since my 33's were rubbing on the plastic, and now I'm running for the weekend with nothing below the grill. I need a new chrome steel piece and the painted plastic trip above it re-painted, and also a new bracket that holds the bumper to the frame. It looks like that beefy piece absorbed most of the impact energy.

Oh, and my tow hook sliced a line down the side of her car too. Unreal.

First, let me say that I am glad everyone is OK. Second, I find it extremely ironic that you posted earlier that your horn sounded like it was fit for a Honda...And then you got hit by a Honda!!! At least you can tell her insurance company that the jarring collision must have busted your horn!

Alright guys got the pics. Thanks so much for the replies, it really means a lot knowing we all are concerned for each other's safety. I'll look at parts tomorrow and start rebuilding the front end.

and here is me and my girl. took her up for a flight last night in a 172.

wowww man i really feel for you. that's horrible! were you riding solo when it happened? good luck getting her put back together.

ps. i love the look of your PA-28. i flew a 180 a couple years ago just for a bit, and really liked it for what it was.

Wrecks suck. Glad yall are ok. Doesn't look like too much damage. I wish you had pics of the other vehicle, they are normally more exciting. These trucks almost always come out on top.
