alarm install

viper 350 plus

for the most part i have the alarm installed it unlocks and locks the doors and so on

but after 45 min the door triggers go off.. i researched this and was told that it cuz the GEM is going to sleep, so what i did was put a diode between the GEM and the door trigger and put the alarm tap into the door trigger side of the diode....

im using the (-) side blk/yellow i think on the driver side..

my alarm still goes off... the only thing i have done was isolate both door triggers from alarm. so i have 2 wires into one alarm door trigger alarm wire.

also how do i wake up the GEM so it unlocks the doors properly

I don't use the negative trigger. I go straight to the domelight and grab the Black with Blue positive trigger. I have never had an issue with my truck.

I agree with tre5peter, the only downside to this is the domelight delay will bypass the door monitoring until the light goes off.
