one little question/statement - lots of posts lol.. But I agree with pretty much all of it, the cummins is a beast but I just loves fords, hopefully the next truck will be the 7.3, I think the 6.7 is out of range..

Back to the v4 cummins, is that really going to provide the power needed for an f150?

did you miss my post?

The 4bt I was gonna put in mine was a 350hp 700tq monster and that was with the stock turbo. It had 100hp injectors so all it needed was a bigger turbo to really unleash the power. And thats what it got from a dyno run in a jeep.

sorry, so many posts I either skipped over it or forgot to respond to it... Its crazy that that engine is so tough I really find it incredible. Was that engine stock or had things been done to it? Also, was that with needing new mounts, tranny ,wires and lines and adding all the other crap? Any iddea what the overall swap cost is for the 4bt?

I had planned to set aside $10k that was price of motor/transmission and t-case and the install. I not sure how much of that i would have used but it would have been close. You normally can find the 4bt cummins that already have the adapter for a th400 and if you want overdrive you can bolt on a 700r4 which is one of the strongest automatic OD transmission, and best of all its not computer controlled so its not much to get it running. Then for the transferrcase you would either have to have an adapter mad to run a ford NP205 to the chevy transmission or just clock the chevy t-case straight up and down and be done.

That motor had a few things done to it. It had 5.9L Manifold (cut down) it had 100 hp injectors, and the fuel pump was turned up slightly, the injectors were over done in only needed 50-75hp injectors but the guy wanted it to smoke more so he added more fuel. He was planning on putting a 5.9L Cummins turbo on it and it would have been around 850tq. i have a list somewhere of what all was done to that motor. Not sure where it is.
