Hey Guys, I own a 1997 2wd 5.4. Just had the plugs changed, fuel filter done. My problem is my truck idles a little rough. I can feel a shake in it. RPM needle doesn't move stays right around 500-600 just a slight shudder about every 7 seconds. Truck runs great good pick up. Also since I changed my plugs my mpg has gone down about 2mpg down to about 12mpg. I used to always get 14mpg Anyways any advice on the idle?

 

What brand plugs did you use?

 

motorcraft. Truck has always stumbled a bit at idle. it just drives me crazy

 

All you have to do is clean the damn thing.

 

mine did the same thing ! was told it was normal. i called bs . i ended up switching to iridium plugs and it took it away! but they defiantly aren't cheep!
