Blacking out LED turn signals

Name says it all. I'm tired of the chrome that is on these things and since I'm using another car as a daily right now I'm pulling them off and painting them. Process so far:

As they come:



Pulled apart (10 min @ 250*):



The rubber/silicon seal:



Insides if you are curious:



Masked:



Primed:



I just noticed some of the glue spidered onto it, so im going to sand and reprime after this coat dries.

you are my hero...lol I've wanted to do this to mine but I'm scared but then again I still have my L corners to put in for the time being... looking forward to finished product

what do you mean IF?

yeah whoever designed these lights needs a friggin reality check. the chrome looks hideous.

black is on the first set, im sitting here eating chicken noodle soup and gatorade (being broke is the best diet) and masking off the second side
