Check your wires for a bare spot. It sounds like it is grounding where it shouldnt.

Not heavy on the description... Like, what fuses, during what action, etc. But yea, most likely you have a short somewhere. Follow wires from where ever the problem is, I'm guessing brake lights from the title of the thread, and see if there are any bare or broken wires.

Or if you want you can take an ohm meter and start ohming the wires out to try and locate it, thats what I would do so if a wire was the problem I would have a pretty good idea of where to start instead of blindly tearing things apart... Good luck

I'll bet someone didn't have his speed control recall performed....

Hope the truck doesn't burn up!

Do you have the tow pacage? Do your turn signals work when this happens? At what point does the fuse blow (when you put it in, push the brakes, ect?)

It happens when I press my brake pedal and it blows a15amp fuse I don't have the tow package and the taillights and blinkers still work and it doesn't blow a 25 amp and I don't know where to start looking for the short I'm not so much mechanically inclined

Identify the fuse by the number in the owner's manual.

If it doesnt have factory tow package does it have trailer wiring thats been added? If so check it for corrosion
