Anyone know if an overhead console from an expy will fit my '98 single cab?

 

Yes it will. Plenty of lightning guys use expy overhead consoles.

 

Why would they use it in the lightning?

 

Just to do it. Same reason most of us mod our trucks...to personalize it. Unless they really want outside temp, direction, sunglass case and garage door opener pocket.

 

Thought single cabs came with that? My truck has it.

i think most people get the expy overhead becuase it offers the mpg's

 

mine has this. ive become so Dependant on the compass it'll be hard to own another truck without it

 

mine has it too, but MPG would be a nice addition

 

Only time I use my console is when I look up to see how cold/hot is it. I don't use the compass what so ever. BigTruckGuy, how do you get the MPG?

 

the expy displays in the overhead console offer the mpg's as ours dont.
you dont even have to have the whole console you can just switch the displaysd out.
im almost positive it should work. when i go to a junkyard im guna grab one and try it.

 

Let me know bigtruck, I'd like the MPG I think.

 

yea let us know how that works or maybe a how too.....hint, hint, hint. Would love it in my 98 xlt.

 

take your console off(unbolt)
unscrew the display
screw the expy display into your console
bolt console back up
