^^^

We are considering buying a toy hauler, somewhere in the 16 to 22’ range. I’m fairly certain that’s going to be at the outer limit of what my current truck can tow, so we’re considering a vehicle switch.

LOL

Nope, eventually it's gonna be all about the toy hauler.

I have a Jeep that I flat tow behind the F150 and it does OK, stopping is kinda fun though. =)

We can get away with a smaller toy hauler with the F150, i just don't want to max it out. I know if i get a 5.4L F150 it should do better, but was examining other options for the little woman.

toy haulers arent that heavy like a 21 footer only weighs 3900 pounds plus 1000lbs of four wheelers give or take. but a 15 footer only weighs from 2000 to 2500 and could hold two atvs. so youd be fine with a 5.4 f150 or expo. bc that truck and trailor i got together is 6000 to 6500lbs

an expy with 4.10 or 4.56 gears upgraded sway bars and a brake controller would get the job done but if you search I bet you could find a diesel excursion for the same price if not cheaper that would be a lot safer and get better mileage

Nothing wrong with a V-10 gasser in an Excursion too. Sucks gas, but cheaper to maintain and probably cheaper to buy.
