$100 F150 Make Over

Picked up a 1997 F150 XL a couple weeks ago and decided to put a little money into it, $95 really (before / after)

- $70 Used Grill
- $20 1.5" Coil Boosters
- $5 Spray Paint for Rims

Now I am just trying to decide the silver (passenger side) or flat black (driver side), opinions?

Also with the extra lift room I am hoping to fit a 235/85/16 tire, will it rub? I know 235/75/16 tires fit on a stock 2wd F150, no coil lift.

Pic #2 wouldn't be bad, - (the chrome lookin rims pic) if the center caps weren't missing.

Yea, put those chrome rims back on. Looks like your about to enter a demolition derby or something with that cheapy lookin black set.

i dont like the black rims. i think you can fit 265 tires on there to fill the wheel wells better.

Why did you put a 99+ grille with a 97 front bumper? Looks kinda funky

for sure the silver rims. wrapped in 265/75s. 2 inch blocks or aal in the back would make it sit perfect imo

looks good man.

I wouldn't run the black though makes it look like spares!

The new model front grill shell looks alright just save up for the bumper to match and you'll have a '99+ front end.

Thats what I did.

I would go with the chrome/silver rims. And I agree that a 265 should fit in there.

I kinda like it. Makes the bumper look tucked in.

I was told it was a 98 Grill, but didn't realize the bumpers were different, definitely is a tighter squeeze fit. I replaced the other grill because of faded paint, plus I just like the look of this one better and the cheap price.

I was thinking 235/85/16 's because I want tire height and don't care about tire width, any know if 85's will fit and/or have any pics of it?
