I had to pull my starter for my exhaust project.

There are two rubber plugs on the starter, one was off (somewhere in the process it ended up on the floor) and the other one is barely on. Are these important enough that I need to replace? How do you get them back on? Where can I find them and what are the called? Or do I worry too much?

 

I know what your talking about, -sort of. There should only be one inspection plug and they break off easily. They have a long tail like deal, right ? I just glue them back on to keep the foreign matter out.
