hey guys i hope you can help. i have a freind that bought a f150 a few months a go and it has been setting until now because we was driving his car. but now when he starts the truck there is a noise comming from the trans (5 speed) and it gets louder with higher rpms and stops around 3k. we are thinking the poilt bearing is going out but unsure. is there a way to test it (never had this happen before). is sounds like something is rubbing or swishing sound.

any help would be great
