Where did all the cheap lifts go????
Where did all the cheap lifts go????
A yr and a half ago I bought a 6" Fabtech kit for my 04 Screw 4x4 (new body style) for 1200 shipped. Could have bought the ProComp basic 6" for about a grand...
Now Im getting an older 2000 ext cab 4x4 (grand parent passed away and bought truck new, 50k on her now, but religiously maintained and i know the history,,) anyway, i cant find a 6" anywhere for under 2g...Whats up with that? I guess I might have to be happy with a PA 3" but it sure will be hard coming from a 6" w/ the 2" spacers in front and 2" AAL's in back for an 8" total lift on old one.
I guess an option is that 4" Rought Country lift then the 3" PA body lift....
Any thought or suggestions/prices you all have seen?
Thanks guys

Thats what I was thinking too GaNoles...The truck is probably only worth 9g ish. I dont want to start putting 8 grand in tires/wheels/lift, etc.. like i did the old one. Id never get 17 grand out of it for sure. I dont mind losing a little money as you always do when you modify anything, but would like to minimize my losses as I often get sick of my vehicles within 6 mo. to a yr.
Any one else with suggestions?

Does anyone know why the Rough Country lift won't work with factory wheels? I had plans to do that lift with factory FX4 or King Ranch wheels myself, but for whatever reason that lift says it won't work with factory wheels.

They have all the major brands some as low as 1600.

The taller spindles are thicker and built different and the factory wheels wont bolt on the front without hitting the up-right unless you got a spacer...
Is the spacer going to make them stick out too far? I love the look of a good set of factory wheels with 35s on a mildly lifted truck. Does any lift allow the use of factory wheels?
Yes, a bracket style lift will but you will never be able to put it back to stock cause you have to cut ALOT of stuff off the frame...
