Thinking about getting a remote starter for my truck for when winter comes. I just need a kit that just starts the truck. I'll basically only use this to start my truck in the winter to defrost my windshield. So I want like the cheapest kit. And about how hard are one of these to install?

Also could you use a remote starter from one of the newer trucks and use wire it to work on a truck like mine?

I have a viper on mine and it works perfect but a lil pricey but I have a tilt and couple aux functions on mine but I spent $800
Also I don't know about using an existing factory and wiring it into a new unit.
