Here is a picture of the hood I was able to get from the junkyard. Needs a little work but I will make it nice.

It wont be a problem, I was in the collision field before I got into insurance. I am going to cut on either side of the cowl leaving about a 1"-2" lip and then use some epoxy and some fiberglass bondo and smooth every thing out unless I can straighten the front. Ill loss the air flow but thats ok.

Indeed it is. But then, why ask:

Even I have been guilty of saying just what you did. But regardless, they are always only asking for opinions... not a gospel ..

Don't worry I knew I would get some grief for the roll bar, but once its all done it will look good. I have another roll bar in my garage that was for a smaller truck that I was going to weld or bolt to make it longer If you want it.

Yeah, not to diss ya sportracer.. but years ago, when I was much younger, I had a double roll bar just like yours on a 4wd Ranger. BUT.. point being, if you really do roll over... it is mounted to the bed, thus the roll bar crushes the bed which ultimately crushes the cab... or a part of it.

But... again, as said... with lights on it, it would look cool. Give 'Er hell... mod away ..

Looks like this poor trucks owner didn't take heed to the cruise control recall.

It sure does, I finally had the part to fix that problem installed last week. Every time I tried to get the part installed the Ford Dealership was always out.

Wow, no kidding? I didn't realize people were still trying to get the part from Ford. Hopefully they (or you) at least had your cruise control disconnected in the engine bay?
