Auxiliary Back-Up lights?? Help.

I have a 2001 F-150 Long Bed.

Sadly I lack a trailer hitch mount which would be a perfect spot to mount some KC daylighters or similar product.

What have you guys added? I assume I will have to fab up a bracket to mount these, I have yet to climb under the truck and see what I actually have back there to work with. I don't want to mount them directly to the bottom of the bumper.

I recently tinted my windows and dark driveways are a problem.

I know you're looking for something more powerful, but thought I would add this in as an alternative. These are pretty damn bright for what they are!

you might look into a cheap 50 dollar backup cam system. thats what ive been using with my aux lights also. otherwise id look into making a bracket off the bumper support

Depending on how cheap I can get a used trailer hitch for, I might just go that route and mount off that, I really need to climb under the back of my truck and see what I'm working with. Local scrap yards have plenty of F-150s to pick from. I'm crusing Craigslist for some KC lights right now.

If you drop your spare and keep it in the back of the truck you can mount it near where the spare is? I have mine on my hitch :/

That's just what I need I have been looking for some LED reverse lights to finish off my rear package but none around here. Also I bought some 3157 bulbs for my front turns, but they flash fast and need some load resistors.

Thanks for the link

Thanks, I made the bumper myself from the factory one. Decided to put the lights there because I tore the trailer plug-in off a couple times before moving it to where I did.

What I used was a 4 inch grommet for what big rig brake light would use and grabbed some cheap 3.5" fog lights from canadian tire. Surprising they fit really nice. It was really hard to start drilling with the 4.5" hole saw for the first one.

I am going to get my rear bumper Line-x'd and I am going to drill some holes in my bumper too. I want to make sure, you drilled a 4.5" and put a 3.5" light behind it? What lights would you sugest and what did you do to mount the lights? weld a tab with a slot to the back of the bumper?
Also I ordered the V-LED licens plate frame, Number one, it is too tall to line up with the holes in our truck by 1/4" and mine was missing a led when I got it so I am sending it back but when I get it back I am going to cut the frame part off and just use the light bar part at the top.
