I rolled her out in the sun the other day -

nice truck! why did she get an engine so early in life?

It left the dealership without any oil in the crankcase @ 27,000 miles. It blew in about 3/4 of a mile or so. I drove it write back making a hell of racket. 1/3 of one of the pistons ended up in my lower intake lol.

I've heard their suppose to shut down or not run without oil in it. Mine didn't, it even ran after it fricken blew, - sounded like hell tho.

I have to say , this reman engine in it now has surprised the hell out of me. I wish the body would have lasted longer.

Not sure what you mean, but okay

One of the techs over there said it should not have started without oil in the crankcase and was going to check into that, - nothing ever came of it.

How little can it have ? Iduno ? Maybe there was residual oil in the lines, not sure. Doesn't matter anyway , - it went pop. I needed a truck, working 80 hrs a week back then and couldn't wait for them to fix it, so I purchased a 99 w/7.3.

I bought my 98 in Jan of 2001 with 14,000 miles. Now it has 150,000 and 90,000 of those miles have been supercharged. Coudn't ask for a better truck and have no desire to get rid of it!
