I am with this guy. I am sure a decent body shop could clean that up when you get them painted though.

700s are 8 inch with a clear lens 500s are 6 inch with a diffused lens

sampson what 500's do you have? (ff, non ff, or comet)

its just a different way to send the light off really. (clear vs diffuse) ie free form vs non free form. you can get the 500's in ff so theyll have the clear lenses also
