Yeah we know the names but were not friends with them just see them at the race track every now and then. They usually only race the big races. Right now my brother is racing a few classes. Mini stocks, pro trucks, and modifieds. Were still in the works of trying to get a super late model but they are extremly expensive and couldn't do it without sponsorship. The tire bill is just outrageous. That track has pretty much had everything removed from it though. Its mostly just the asphalt now I'm assuming.

I'm located in Bartow, just a couple of miles from you. If you need extra help, I would be willing to give a hand.

Looks like a great project but, a couple of things I noticed were a lack of use of safety protection, ie; sandblasting without a mask and face protection, at the very least, and welding without gloves.

Look like cold welds to me. I'd have 'em redone.

We only had one face mask and well...Cricket just dosen't care...I think he actually had nylon shorts and tennis shoes on when he welded those body mounts, I told him it wasn't the best idea but he didn't care...Those were just tack welds to hold the washers in place, we didn't want a bunch of heat getting into the rubber...Once we get everything aligned right he is going to burn them in real good...

Check out the Southeast section here on the site...I put up a thread about a get together in Lakeland...I am in Iraq right now (Baghdad to be more exact) but I am only going to be here 3 weeks and I am quitting for about 6 months...So I should be home around or before the 20th of August...I probably won't be posting up anymore pictures for a while either as I tasked dad to take as many pictures as he could of everything they are doing to it while I'm gone...So it may be about 3 weeks before I get up new pics...Sorry guys...
