My pos ford :'(
Agreed, the young silver-spooner has a driving problem and seems to have little sense of responsibility, but my philosophy on this would be if we don't have anything good to say then say nothing at all... as in just ignore his posts. Just my opinion
Yea, but there's entertainment in it for some and hopefully the OP will learn from it (I doubt it, it may contribute to such tho).
let me get this straight... u paid im guna guesstimate at $2,000 for lift wheels and tires at LEAST!!! and u cant afford 300 maybe for brakes?? i bet u didnt even buy ur lift and wheels mommy and daddy did huh? u can ask for 2K for that but not 300 for brakes?? hmm that doesnt really take a rocket scientist to figure out which one is more important....
OOO and ur truck is def not a pos bcuz u hit a tree and ur still alive. That truck saved ur life DUMBA$$
how in the hell did u hit the tree anyways? did it jump out in front of you and the brakes that u cant fix didnt stop in time??

no, i saved up about 2,800 to buy a truck. then the cash for clunkers thang came out. and sense we own a honda dealership we had a ton of truck and they gave me my f150 for free as a 16th b day presesent. and i still had all my money left. so i bought the lift and tires for about $2,300 and had money left over so i spent that on 2 12"s and a new radio. and some other lil things. so now i had no money left over out of that. then i got a job and started saving more money for other things for my truck and my rear end went out so i had to go spend all the money i had saved for the damn rear end. and that happened about 2 weeks ago. so now i have no money. to fix it.
2) You were saving for something you wanted but had to spend it on something you needed... welcome to life.

Alrighty, I skimmed most of this but I just want to clarify somethings.
This kid, and I can call him kid even though he's my age because he has zero respect, is gonna be on his fourth vehicle? He ruined a Dodge in reverse, totaled his brother's Civic, it wasn't his but it can still be added to the carnage list, decided it'd be a good idea to launch a Jeep Cherokee off of God knows what, and now after he lifted and put bigger tires on his truck, he ruined it.
Is it me or does common sense dictate that you upgrade things likely to fail on your vehicle before you upgrade it? Brakes, gearing, transmission, things like that, am I on the right track here?
I'm sorry but no, this kid gets no sympathy from me. I'm 16, I'm rough on things, I'm not going to lie about it, but I still baby my truck, my mom's car, my dad's truck, any vehicle I drive, I baby like it's a brand new Ferrari or something. It's called respect and responsibility.

[QUOTE=Dnasty777;4272674]1) I believe what your parents did was illegal. IIRC, any vehicle given to a dealership for the cash for clunkers deal must be destroyed.QUOTE]
Only if they wanted to get the money from the gov.

The more I read here.. I wonder... if daddy has a dealership, all-be-it HONDA,... why doesn't he just have his kids' truck fixed by the techs he pays for? This thread is bringing back soooo many memories of all the vehicles I had as a youngster... one of my first was a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T with a 440. Still not sure why I am still alive. Bought it for $270 in 1980... any who...
