Do it yourself next time, unless it's a family friend, I'd hate to see what you're gonna get charged when it's all said and done. The plug blowout seems pretty daunting the first time it happens, but it's pretty easy to do once you realize what's going on. First time I got a tow back to my place, second time, I was at work and had to limp the truck back 30 miles on a dead cylinder. That was fun.

You definitely can drive on even 6 cylinders. I did it for like 2 months. CEL never came on, could feel loss in power, idle was effed, and gas was in the crapper. Sal good now.

i drove it home on 7, about 3 miles.

anyway, i got it back today. after a rethread and $105 slapped on the counter they handed me the keys and said have a nice day.

but why would i drive on 7 when you can hear the air shooting out of the plug hole? even radio turned up it couldnt drown it out did have a nice "cammed" idle

Have you changed plugs on it before? If so how many miles did the plugs have on it when it decided to eject ?

i changed them at 118k (first time these plugs have been changed on this truck) plug tried to win the olympic shot put at 154k about 2.5 years later

Try 208k on stock plugs.... That's what mine had when i changed em...
