it's cause you have a screw, all screw are like that, but i don't know when they started (on the supercabs) mounting the belt onto the seat

i think it was one of those options minor options when the fx4 came out... mine is an xlt and i've seen lariat fx4's with them

theres alot of confusion from this thread on which seats can easily be cut like the OP's seats.

to clarify your seat needs to mount up front like this (below) to work as the op has posted.



if it mounts to the trans hump or doesnt look like that it wont work and you can refer to the link below as to how you would go about cutting your bench

the guy in the link had an upholstery shop cut his and he had to buy a new frame. im sure there is a way to get yalls seat cut down. any pics of the trans hump mount seats from the bottom?

ill look for pics but the way the frame is on that type you need the new pan and track for the seat and the extra leg that mounts to the frame. when the guy in the write up did it they were still available from ford but arent any more.
