i have a 97 f150 with a 4.6 and its electronic 4 wheel drive. what is the housing called that is on the passenger front side that connects to the transfer case? i am not sure if it is a axle housing or what it is but i climbed under the truck to change the oil and noticed it was cracked. i need to know what it is called so i can try to find another to fix it. also if anyone knows where i can get one please let me know. and last is this pretty rough to change out? thanks for any help.

I think that is the axle housing and thats what its called..
