Looks to be about 2/3 or so. There is still a bunch of wheel well left to fill.

HAHA thanks Pat. Everytime you pull out somethin like that, it makes me even more wanna drop it. With 305/50/20s and 2" rear drop shackles, whats the max i could drop? 3/4?

Yeah, a 3/4 will be about max you can go. But with you bigger tires, it will fill up the well perfectly!

I say do it!

How much space do you have between the top of the tire and the fender??

I would go 2/4 on 305-50-20

maybe 3/5 if you go to a 275-45-20 (factory harley tire size)

and im 5/7 on 275-40-20 (just FYI)

I do need to get new tires, so downsizing to a 275/45 and installing a 3/5 kit would be awesome. What is the CHEAPEST money wise, not quality wise, that i can get lower the truck 3/5? Are there blocks on these trucks that can be removed?

The drop can be done if you look for the right parts, in the right places. Don't be afraid to buy hangers or shackles used.

There are some 3" Eibach drop coils on eBay for $140 shipped. Part number is 3576.520.

Try and find some used Lightning leafs springs and you will get some drop from those (different amounts depending on what year L they are from)

buy used for cheaper stuff, don't skimp out on the shocks tho, buy a good set and you can make up for a little crappier susp setup.

No blocks on a 2wd 97-03
