My trailer project... just finished today!
Yeah I'm looking for something that will be great for trails and a bit of mud, but come hunting season I will need to put it to work. It's basically a pleasure/camping/hunting machine. I have heard amazing things about the Yamaha Grizzly's and the Honda Foreman's... I think something around 500cc would be good for me, and 4X4 is a must. I don't know much about the Kingquad.
Thanks again guys. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what PSI to run my tires at? They are:
Carlisle Sure Trail ST
ST215/75D14
Load Range C
Max Load 1870lbs @ 50psi COLD
Right now they are at 37psi per side.

Looks good. I built a trailer almost 8 years ago that sees more abuse than any trailer should have to, over loaded and neglected as it is.. we used a marine grade plywood. Was like $40 a sheet though but looks almost as good as it did the day it went in, with no sealant or paint. Its like a pressure treated plywood. But that looks good. I like the tight knots.
believe it or not, i inquired about marine grade plywood... they quoted me $126 per sheet of 4X8 in 3/4 inch! the stuff that i went with was 3/4 inch exterior grade spruce plywood, nothing too special, and that was $33 per sheet.
no sandblasting, just a fine grit sand paper on the edges to get rid of saw burs. i used a generic clear waterproofing stain that had the viscosity of water and really soaked into the boards.

The tire pressure should be in the tire.
As for a quad I have a Yamaha Grizzly 700 with power steering. It is a great all round machine. I ride in all conditions from dry trails to mud and deep snow in the winter. It handles everything well. Everyone I know that bought a smaller quad in the 500 range has upgraded to a big bore for the torque increase. If I was looking for a new machine now I would have a Yamaha Grizzly 700 or a Can Am Outlander 800 on my list but a Suzuki King quad is a solid machine too.
