Great truck and transformation thread. Do you have any suggestions as to where I should by the N-Fab pre-runner light bar that you are running? I really like the look.

Is it a strong solid mount?
Where did you have to drill to mount it?
Easy install?
Would you buy one again if you had to do it over again?
Did you powder coat yours?

Thanks man.

Not jake, but here you go.

He got his off of craigslist, but good luck finding one on there for the deal he got his. TONS of places sell them but even the cheapest(black powdercoat) will run you $350+.

And for all your other questions..

It bolts onto your front bumper in 4 places. You have to drill 4 holes into the bumper and then bolt the bar down. Its just as strong as the front bumper is (I can testify to how strong jake's light bar is because I have pulled on it myself).

His was stainless steel (got blasted off), and he got it line-x'd to match the rest of his truck.

I'm here.

Like already said you put 4 holes in the bumper and it mounts through. Mine didn't come with the bolts so I'm usign grade 8 bolts from home depot. I know for sure it'll hold a large amount of weight and just moves the truck when pushed on.

I think the list price on them is around 300 and I did have mine lined also.

As for doing it again I'd say yes. Simply put I did it twice. When I tore up my 98 bumper and got my 99 bumper it was off for a while and I thought about keeping it off but I just like the look and the extra light when driving

I like it more than the regular light bar that they have. Looks like you drilled through the plastic molding that wraps the bumper.

On my 98 bumper I removed the molding and installed the bar then put the molding back on cut around it while it was chrome. When they lined it I had them delete the molding holes
