so my 96 trans am with a GM under-rated 285hp(more like just over 300hp really) and 335Lb-Ft with a 0-60 time of 5.6 seconds is gonna lose to ANY stock mustang GT until 2005? yeah ok and even the 2005 ones are only about the same is quickness but were still slightly slower. seriously bud, i know just about everything there is to know about the 82-02 f-bodies, dont even go down that road...youll be wishing the lollipop guild was there to help you find your way back home....

 

i dont know, it actually could have been...it looked like a 16 year old kid who had his dad's car out for a drive. before i did my driveby, i heard him grind a gear shifting into 2nd from a stoplight and he was very slow at shifting. it probably wasnt a 03-04 but it was that style. i wish i still had my T/A, if that one actually was faster than mine, it would have been the first one ive seen. most of them were 10 cars back by the time i hit 90. i even demolished 2 02 GTs at the same time. the one even started out in the turning lane to race. but dont worry, i was nice and "pulled ahead" to let him get into my lane....

 

lol, i just re-read my post, i typed it right before going to sleep after working 10hrs. it is right but not explained very well. i left a lot out. an 82-84 firebird 305 was only about 145hp and had a 0-60 of about 10seconds. and in the late 80s i think it was, they offered 2 different 305s, one being a low output 190hp and the other being about 225 i think. but the 190hp one was only offered with an auto and the ratios offered were 3.73 and 2.73 if i remember correctly(just found this out recently) which made it go from about a 7.5 second 0-60(3.73)to about 9.5 seconds(2.73). i could go on and on but im not gonna spend my day typing everything out. i know a lot about the 82-02 f-bodies and hate mustangs with a passion. but i will admit when i see a nice one or a fast one and that one in the video you posted is very impressive. even chirped the tires shifting into 4th. and so far, i am liking the sound of the new 5.0L. the old 5.0s along with the 4.6s you can tell its a mustang from the exhaust tone without even looking. they just have their own sound.

 

I know Mustangs better...I've owned 10 of them and have alot of miles behind the wheel on them. And I know that I hate F bodys with a bigger passion....you said in your comment that you "beat GT's all the time" so that leaves the door wide open there home boy....guess what I stomp GM F bodys all the time and you don't see me running my head on here about it. Are both cars fast? Yes Can one beat the other or vise versa? You bet. I personally think that those firebirds and camaros are the single gayest looking thing on the GD road. To each his own but there is no way your firechickin beat a 03-04 Cobra. Ok maybe if Betty White was in the cobra and that's just because she's cluless.

Here is my weakness... I know its not fast by any-means! for some reason the audio is off, cheap camera I guess. I still have the stock 3.55 gears thats why it shifts out of first at 50+ mph

yeah I would say 10 around seconds... I know my truck is not fast, I need new gears bad and that would help out some. I just wanted to stur the pot And show that clown how to take a video that people can see...
