Ok, I give up... what is that thing?

I've looked all over the internet and have even been looking around at some local F-150 trucks and none of them seem to have what I have... a little black egg shaped dome on my roof above the passenger side. It's a 2007 XLT Screw if that helps.

It looks factory, and I don't have any special stuff in the truck that would warrant anything like a sat antenna or GPS antenna, I just have the stock 6-disc changer. Would they throw a Sat or GPS antenna on a stock truck that doesn't come with the option, or is it possible that a previous owner had something like that installed and went back to stock? I just got the truck about a month ago.

I dunno. I can take pictures if you want me to, but it's pretty much just like I described it. It seems to be made out of plastic.

Thoughts?

(Oh crapola... just realized I posted this in the wrong forum. Mods can you move this and delete this note?)

No, but I have an in-dash compass with the odometer. I thought that came standard on XLTs though, and I haven't seen this thing on any other XLTs.

It does sound like an XM or Sirius antenna, probably from previous owner as you said
