1997 - 2003 F-150

4x4 no work

4x4 no work

Have a problem.. 4x4 lights go one when shifted in 4hi 4lo shifter linkage moves.. floor shifter. But truck wount go into gear.. I am thinking solenoid or hubs.

Just replaced pass hub..if that matters

Its electric right.. you should be able to check the voltage at the solenoid and see if it is working properly. Do that to all of the electric parts and I am sure you will find whats not working.

Is it now going into any gear or is the front end just not engaging? If its just the front end then its probably the shift forks. Mine was broke at only 33k.

ok here is the deal.. everything is fine. only when this Pink vac line is off.

That is the vacuum disconnect solenoid. 2wd one. It is still sucking when it shouldn't be. The solenoid itself is no good. Replace that solenoid that the vacuum lines go on and all will be good. i just did the same thing this past winter

So replace the one where the pinkish vac line goes?

How much is the part?
