A-pillar trims

Installed overhead console and headliner during the weekend to my 2003 XL.
The headliner was from '00 F150, so the '03 A-pillar trims do not match with it.

Before trying to get old style covers from eBay or junkyard - I'd like to know if they match with '03 dash? Also, are the mounts in the same location?

The headliners have different edges.

They should work. I would contact a local scrap yard and ask if you can trial fit one.

Already planning a trip there.
BTW also B-pillar trims are different. Why on earth Ford made so drastic changes?

Obviously the cost of maintaining different parts for headliner, A pillar trims, B pillar trims and handles are less than changing the design.

maybe it changed when they did the supercrew, and just passed it on to the rest of the line.
