Mileage for 4.6L?
98 4.6 with the 5SODM and I'm getting about 16mpg with 75% city/stop and go. On the highway, running about 72 with the cruise on, it looks to be in the neighborhood of 20mpg. That will be confirmed or disproved in another month and a half or so when I hit the road with it.
between 13 - 17 mpg (imperial) mostly highway style driving - some city - say 80/20
stock 5.4
possi rear - not sure about the ratio
2001 SCREW
light footing it
no data on towing yet as I've only had it for about 6 weeks.

Just went 1800 miles with a heavy load on my 98 F150 3 door 5 spd manual from CA to ND and averaged 17.4mpg with the last leg of 290 miles pushing a heavy quartering cross wind that hit 15.3mpg so it could well have been closer to 18mpg.
I ran with the cruise control on as often as possible and set to about 72mph.
It'll be interesting to see the difference when running back with no load.
Well, interesting to me....
On the return trip and running with no load, empty bed, the first two tanks of gasoline mileage ran right at 17mpg, one slightly under, the second slightly more. Running at 72mph, cruise on and five slowdowns going through towns on the first. No slowdowns on the second tank.
I dropped the tailgate and hit a bit over 19 mpg with some long, steep climbs on the first tank with the gate down. Hit 20 mpg on the second tank and after that fought headwinds most of the remaining distance and hit right at 18mpg average on the last 3 tanks of fuel.
I was surprised I lost mileage running empty but was pleased to see, on my truck, an increase in mileage running with the tailgate down. I know there're are some who discount that, but for my truck dropping the tailgate helped mileage on the road.
