Power steering cooler line leak

So what I thought was the tranny cooler line leak is really the PS cooler line that's leaking(return line? ...lower one coming out of cooler).

Wondering how much pressure is in the system and should I splice the line with a rubber replacement line? Also how much PS fluid will come out when I pull the unit out . Will it drain the system or only the cooler and lines?

I think im going to need to pull it cause I don't think I can get it cut and flared being stuff up in there. The leak is where it starts all the bends to get around frame , right under the plastic clip that held the lines together.

I could buy a new aftermarket cooler for 25 bucks too but then I would need to come up with a way to mount it and connect the lines .
The aftermarket kit comes with rubber hoses and I need to make it go into rubber hoses. ...not to big of a deal , just cut the ends off the old cooler and flare it for the cooler hoses. .

After I fix this will the air be able to get out by starting it and turning the wheel and re-fill the reservior or do you need to bleed it?

any suggestions??

Just be carefull thumbing around in there if the tranny lines are rusted pretty good. After I got the p/s fixed the tranny line sprung a leak in the same area from a chunk of rust that decided to expose a hole .

If the leak is in the bends take and cut the lines and add new lines. I bought a new cooler(aftermarket) and really did'nt need to, plus you will need a way of mounting it ...the new one has no bracketry. I used a chunk of 1/8"D-plate bent to the same angle as the org and paded the cooler out away from the plate for air flow, also drilled a bunch of holes in the plate for air flow too. Not to wild about the plastic zip things that mounts it but I used some extra zip ties ...just incase
