I wouldn't say fugly, it just doesn't look right. Idk how to describe it. But I'll agree haha

remove the bedcover, gay grille, and not so lined up side skirts and maybe a different approach to the pinstripe and two tone and it'd be bearable. otherwise, yes it's fugly

Travis, the first one you posted has HORRIBLE fitment.

OPs looks weird...

the blue and silver one appeals to me the most, but I still think the 99-03 front end is the sexiest F-150 design ever made

The view that you see on the cover is fine, I like that. I like lowered trucks, a friend of mine has a sweet S-10. But that's where my liking of it ends. I don't like the rear treatment, I hate the interior, and I'm just without words to describe the drivetrain. Its a 2009 Silverado! This is the 21st century! And they put in an effin pushrod carburetted engine! WTF?!

their ls engines are still pushrod

but i saw that white 09 with the 383 at tex mex this weekend and its immaculate. it looks really good, a lot of time and craftsmanship went into it, all you see in the engine bay, is the engine. it is a badass truck for sure

Oh I'm not doubting the craftsmanship. They did an awesome job on the build, very high quality work. I just don't don't like the direction it was taken.

I just wonder what if any massaging of the sheet metal needs to be done, or if this is a somewhat bolt on process. I would love to have the newer expy front end on mine. hell I would be happy to have a different f150 grill to replace the ugly *** one mine came with!

From what I can tell with those progress pictures I posted, it seems to be mostly bolt-on. If anything, a little trimming of the fender to match up with the door would be about all that's needed.

However, there is also the issue of matching bodylines and wheel arches. If you're not too concerned about it, then no worries. Myself, I'd be making them match or putting on flares or something...
