I will look into that as an option this weekend. I know the corners of the new bezel are sharp 90* angles, while the corners on the original bezel are a more rounded shape - this causes small gaps to be seen on either side of the corner. I guess its kindof like putting a circle inside a square.

I never got around to installing it because I was lazy until I recently installed a different cd player. When I went to install the new bezel it wouldnt quite fit at the bottom. I then noticed that it has a perfectly square opening for the HVAC controls where mine has rounded corners on the bottom. I don't know what it would fit, but I have to assume an 03 with the electronic climate control?
So if anyone can find me a source for a nice tan radio bezel that has the 4x4 switch please let me know! Its making the interior of an otherwise very clean truck look terrible!
Look on the Summit web site for ColorBond Paint. I had the same issue as you with the paint coming off my dash but, mine was all over. I ended up having to paint my entire dash. I tried to spot paint first but the adhesion primer would cause existing paint to lift. So , what I did was on the pieces that needed painting. I sand blasted with low air pressure and mortar sand. Then wiped it down with aceton . When wiping down wipe very lightly. The aceton will damage platic if you aren't careful. After wiping down spray on primer and let dry then shoot paint on in lite coats. Looks very nice when done. Just take your time. I have included the link to summit for the paint that I had to buy . www.summitracing.com/parts/CBD-120. I could not find the link for the adhesion primer but they do sell it. Oh , by the way I to have the tan color interior in my 01 F150 SC.
If you have any questions shoot me a email.
Good Luck
