Grille Cover?
Grille Cover?
I have a 97' with the honey comb style grille and was wondering if there is anybody that makes or has pictures of their 97-03 with a winter grille cover like diesel guys have. Id like to get one before next winter rolls around. Thanks.
i wouldnt do that unless you want your gas engine truck running really hot. In my families vehicle line up we have a gmc 2500 diesel and we run of the bras strictly to keep the engine temperature warmer in the winter. It is not good for your engine if it is not a diesel to run this set up.
I made my own since I couldn't find one to fit the 3 bar grille that I liked. Its not pretty but it works. There is enough of a gap between the grill surround and the top of the bumper to let air in, plus the gap in the lower part of the bumper. I had no overheating issues for the past 2 winters. Not bad for about $15 in parts + sacrificing 2 wire coat hangers.
