Idles up when clutch is pushed...

Question Idles up when clutch is pushed...

99 , 4.6 , manual trans...... When im shiftin gears and push my clutch in my truck idles up about 500rpm more than it was , and when i stop it stays idled pretty high then it finally idles down...... what could be causin this? It just started here recently..... Thanks for the help.

Agreed, clean the IAC. I would also clean the throttle body and lube he throttle cable.

Ok will do...... i found a thread about it , doesnt seem to be hard to do.....ill take it off this weekend and clean it up

Well i had some spare time today and i needed to change my EGR pressure sensor thang i thank wat its called lol.....so i cleaned the IAC to , it fixed the problem.... thanks for the help fellas
