Happens to everyone. Was on the way to the coast a couple of weeks ago, on a Friday. Truck through a engine light. Stopped at dealer in Raliegh, 7.5 hours and 500 bucks poorer left with a new thermostat, and CHT sensor. On the way home Sunday night, 3 hours from home, truck starts mising, engine light on. End up leaving it at same dealer, didn't want to risk another 2 hours to get home. Three bad coils. Hard decision on keeping selling, ended up keeping. Its a 9 year lod truck, things are going to go wrong. Just need to decide if it is severe enough to sell/ trade for a newer one with the associated paments. I bought my Expd in fall of 08, for 6 and chnge cash, figure I can afford to spend some cash on it. Beats a payment any day.

The maintenance has been keep up like a charm , the truck is just old with 225,000 miles . It has a parts list as long as my arm of stuff it needs to be perfect . For every one thing I fix or replace 3 go bad . Not beating her too bad , just drive alot of miles . Haul some hay every now and then and that is about it . I haven't in spun a tire with her except on the ice last month .

Power Windows always go out. Just take a day take off your upper intake and fix the vacuum leaks, I hear the slave is pita to change...
