haha mines off craislist too. it was meant to fit a 99-03 f150 but i put it on my 98 2wd bumper just fine. only cost me 50 bucks too. idk what that was meant to fit on but id do what you said. if you have the ability then id cut the hoops and move them down. clean up the look a bit. ill work on a chop for ya

I don't have any pics to show you. When I find them I send them to you. I've done it two different ways. The last and best way requires allot of cutting and welding of pipe, and drilling holes in the frame. But the way you haul things, that may not be the best choice for you.
The first time I took it to a shop and the guy ran the pipe back behind the frame, and u turned it back to the pipes. I don't recommend doing it that way because you need an x or h pipe( you lose to much torque without one).
It had a great deep rumble to it with all that xtra pipe, it also had a good crackling sound if you downshifted. But like I said, the torque was gone without a crossover pipe.

Now I have a cross over, and pipes that I had to weld up myself so I could get everything in the right place. But I did get my torque back( well all the 4.6 has anyway).

If you choose to get you some, I bought them off of Ebay several years ago. They were listed there as corvette pipes.

Thanks for the complement. I hope to rebuild the truck soon. It's 14 years old now and showing some wear. But I like it better than the newer models. In a few more years I'll be allowed to get antique tags for it

Edit: I've added two inch drop shackles since that picture was made.

yeah i figured either around it or blew holes in the frame rail. i thought of that for my lightning style but if i blew a hole in the frame rail and then put 6K in the bed the truck would snap in half. so thats out of the question.

ill just carry on with my bronco tank swap and lightning style out each side in the spring/summer.

always loved sidepipes wanted to run them as long as i could rember but then i saw alot of requests for a true dual lightning style each side. well my gas tank has a hole in it and figured me and my buddy are good at fabin. the bronco take was 100 or my replacement was 400. a sending unit and pump would only be 150 for my bronco tank so thats only 250 into a tank and sending unit and stuff.

so why not? its cheaper and i run an exhuast everyone has always wanted to see. plus it has to sound good. i cant wait now!! not to mention i have always thought about it as well. 2 18"X3.5" tips out each side rolled on tehre side like a lightning....oh man...i need to go change my pants.....

but your set up looks sweet as i said it was either lightning style both sides for me or sidepipes.

I'll add mine to the list.. It's an old pic from the former residence. Basically the same but with F150Online decals added to rear side windows
