2003 4.6 vs 99 5.4
I have some friends who have two new edge Mustangs. One is a 4.6L the other a transplanted 5.4L. On a strip the 5.4L low-end torque took the 4.6L on launch, but the lighter weight of the 4.6L took the lead in the end.
Damn, - I don't recall mine ever being that slow, - can you guys keep up with traffic alright? - I like going after the 3 valves personally. They don't stand a chance, -unless their tuned

I've been to the drag strip in Abilene a couple of times. It was pretty fun actually. I think one of my distant cousins used to own it or manage it or something like that lol.
We had a perfect place for street racing. It was an industrial park that was defunct. Had a paved street about half a mile long, 3 lanes wide. You could even circle the block for a return. We had a 1/4 marked off and the police would come through, making sure there was no underage drinking going on. They actually approved of the racing as it kept a lot off the streets that would be racing around town. We met out there every Friday and Saturday nights from about 9 or 10 until maybe 2. Sometimes as many as 300 people. You would challange someone and line'em up. This was one block behind a little wrecking yard I owned, where I usually kept my truck. Lots of great memories made there. This was about 1987 through 1989. I loved running the big block Chevys with my small block Cleveland.
