My spare has also gone among the missing. We have a bunch of tires I can use, just need to find a 16" rim with the Ford bolt pattern (lousy traitor father having a Chev).

However, the winch cable on mine has snapped, probably the reason why there is no spare. Is the winch box the same for F-150 and Expedition?

VERY true...Never go off road without at least one spare. This is the reason I ALWAYS buy 5 tires at a time. I run the spare in rotation so I always get to check the condition of all 5 tires at least ever 5-6K miles.

I laugh my **** off when I see kids with 4 upsized tires/rims but the spare is still stock or missing. Like that will ever do them any good. Get a flat while running 35's and try to drive with your stocker, wreck your drivetrain.

When I go hunting or camping I even throw in the spare from the wives truck. That way I don't ever have to head to town for a lousy flat. I hunt over a hundred miles from the nearest gas station/town. It would be stupid to not have two spares in that situation.

my spare is oversized, well factory sized but doesnt match my undersized diameter wheel and tire combo. I need to take it out for added ground clearance once i go lower

I've got my spare, but the lug holes are oblong (ruined 5 of my wheel studs.....before I bought the truck) and the tire is flat and the cable is cut, and I run 305s in the summer....
