Cargo light override

Hey guys, new to the site...

Looking to put a switch on my cargo light so that I don't have to have the interior lights on. (sucks at night trying to see out the back window at the trailer) Im sure someone has done this before and just looking for some insight. Im sure I can come up with a way but want to make sure theres not a better one!

Heres my truck

Sweet truck!! Love the 20" wheels, wanta trade lol. I'm thinking about getting the same ones for my truck. What size tires are those?

I know what you mean about the cargo light. My old 87 dodge used to have a switch just for the cargo light on the dash that was nice. Let us know what you come up with. It would be nice to have it integrated into a factory switch somehow.

Ive been wanting to do this too for the drive-in movies, so I can have my doors open the interior/bed lights off.

i would say probably the only way would be to hard-wire the cargo light straight to a switch.
