What leveling kit are you running?

Hey guys i need to know what leveling kit you guys are running. I need a 2" kit for the front of my 2wd expedition. I dont want the daystar so if someone could point me to another kit that would be great! The suspension is the same as the f150 thats why i posted in here. Thanks!

Jake, from what i can tell lift coils are looking to be my only option. I see 1.5" and 2.5" but i dont want new upper control arms, guess ill just have to wise up and run new springs. Bart, not sure what your running upfront but your 4x4 so im pretty sure you have torsion bars. Very nice truck, ive seen you on expeditionforum.com. I dont post there often but have seen your truck. Oh and jake not sure if you look at the expedition threads but i got the 6" lift coils, pics are in my other thread. Theyre pretty massive. Also, just picked up the BL from 4 wheels parts.

Your only options for 2" of lift would be lift coils, unless you are wanting spacers.
The limit for needing new upper control arms is 2.5" or thats what I was told. I have seen 3" lift coils tho with using aftermarket control arms. What exactly is your set-up going to be?

B2, ive also read the same thing as well. 2.5" and above requires new upper control arms from what ive seen. Im assuming this means that if you go larger than that you cant get your camber caster adjustment into specs. If you could tell me about the people youve seen with 3" lift coils that would be great, althought id most likely get a 2.5" to run level with the rear. As for my setup, stated earlier to jake, i just got my 6" rear lift coils for the expedition. Ill be converting the setup to coil springs from rear air bags. As well as the 6" springs i just purchased the 3" bl from 4wheel making 9" of lift. My plans for the front consist of 3.5" spindles 2" or 2.5" lift coils and 3"bl making either 9" upfront or 8.5" depending on if i can run the 2.5". If its not possible ill just stick with the 2". I have a thread going in the expedition section of the site.

Ohh alrighty! I understand what you are saying. Fabtech used to make a kit for our trucks that had 3" lift spindles with 3" lift coils and aftermarket upper control arms.. it was the "poor boys" 6" lift kit. I could see you being able to run 2.5" coils with stock stuff, but its going to ride pretty stiff with that much coil up there. I guess even with 3" coils it would be kinda stiff, because you arent increasing the coils ability to decompress, even though you are adding longer control arms. Youll be sitting at the exact same height as a 4x4 expy and 6" lift, which will be nice.

My friend james ran a 3" lift coil on his truck, and he never said anything bad about it. He had after market upper control arms of course. He owned a dodge before lifting the 150 so I am sure the 150 with a 3 inch lift coil still had a better ride . Anywho, its just a matter of how much you want the lift vs. how nice you want it to ride.

I think Im going to have to stick with 2" coils because i really dont wanna cough up another 400 for upper control arms even though that can set me up for a way bigger lift if i decide to go that way but im still in college and thats a different story lol. Do you think you could run 37s with your setup or is 35s the max you would go? I really want 37s but the price jump is insane especially since im gonna run 20s.

37s would be really pricey. and i think you would really start to rub on a lot of parts. i know for 35s youd need to trim the valance some.
