When I shift into 4-wheel drive it seems like the transfer case is engaging as i get lower gearing but the front axle doesn't wnat to engage. Any comments as to what what may be wrong. v-6 5spd. 233km

 

What truck? what year? fill out your info in the user CP menu so it shows up like mine does on every post

 

Considering he is posting in the 97-03, it does not matter. They are all the same on how it works.

gl869, do a search. This problem has been discussed MANY times on the different things that can a do break on the front diff disconnect.
