No, - there's turbo bolt on kits as well. Start a thread or search for the quickest answers.

You do know that a 4.6 motor is only 262 cu/in!
This size is not big on torque, and has it's torque peak up in the 3300 rpm range.
Your efforts to get a large increase in torque for towing in not 'easyly' in the cards for this motor except through lower gears.
I tow at nearly 12000 gross so know what you feel.
My screw does a remakable job but the diesels fly by on the hills.
Perhaps you need to consider a pre-owned diesel and would be much happier in the long term.
Reason is you will have growing pains with a modded motor over the long term, working all the issues out as they occurr as well as up keep on a race car.
Been there and experienced it.

It is lol. Bluegrass made a mistake, that's a first

4.2 = 256
4.6 = 281
5.4 = 330

I have a 5.4 and a diesel is in the cards, just not yet.. I will probably be ready for one in the next 2 or 3 years, but will keep this truck as it was part gift from my grandparents when i graduated college and i like it too much. It will stay my dd and the diesel will be used for towing. And i helped my buddy build his lightning (03) that he daily drives in the spring and summer and its been probably 3 years now and not a single probably with it.
