The blowout problem was solved in the very late 03's by putting 8 threads in the heads instead of 4 threads. You can minimize issues in the 4 thread 5.4 heads by using only Motorcraft SP-479 plugs and torquing them DRY (NO antiseize) to 28 ft/lb.
